I saw the new movie Detroit Metal City, in which Kenichi Matsuyama plays a young man who longs to be a pop musician but fate scuppers his hopes. He becomes a star as guitar vocalist under the name Johannes Krauser II in a death metal band called Detroit Metal City. He worries about having become a major figure in a genre he doesn’t like much.
Kenichi Matsuyama is an actor who can completely change his appearance and performance with each character, earning him the nickname of The Chameleon Actor.
The hero in this movie makes him sweep the floor, for which the female president, played by Yasuko Matsuyuki, teases him as being just like a chameleon.

The movie is based on the original comic version. Such comics tend to have a somewhat cultish feel to them, but this movie is a regular youth flick that anybody would enjoy.
