Yuri Ebihara crowned calendar queen for fifth year in a row

Yuri Ebihara (蛯原友里) has been declared calendar queen in the female celebrity category for the fifth year running, following the rampant buying fever that has surfaced even before her “Ebi-chan Calendar 2010” has gone on sale.

Yuri Ebihara (born October 3 1979) is a Japanese model and actress.
Her first big break came as a model for CanCam, with whom she had an exclusive contract.

Widely known by her nickname “Ebi-chan”, she is especially popular with young men and women. She has been quoted as saying, “If someone doesn’t find me cute, I want to know why, because then I’ll work on it to get better at being cute”.

The monthly calendar sees Ebihara in a range of poses and suggestive glances. The 2010 calendar comes with a DVD and bonus photo collection, and is not available for individual sale.

The box set, called “I Love You,” sells for 2,940 yen starting Dec 7. Bookstores and online retailers such as Amazon have received an overwhelming demand for her latest work of art, with some outlets already sold out through reservations.
