Best Dressers: Anna Tsuchiya, Katsunori Takahashi
The presentation ceremony for the 38th Best Dresser Awards was held on Nov.26. This year, the two winners in the entertainment category were model and singer Anna Tsuchiya (土屋アンナ), who is currently five months pregnant, and actor Katsunori Takahashi (高橋克典).
Tsuchiya (born Mar.11,1984) is a Japanese singer, lyricist, actress, and semi-retired model. Anna was born to a Japanese mother and an American father with Irish and Polish roots. Tsuchiya’s career began at the age of fourteen when she was hired to model for Seventeen. Her demand grew, and by 2002 she was doing television ads for Uniqlo, Edwin, and Kosé products.
Takahashi Katsunori (born Dec.15,1964) is a Japanese actor and singer. He debuted as a singer in 1993 with the single Dakishimetai. He is well known by the drama series “Salaryman Kintaro (サラリーマン金太郎)”since 1999.
Movie director Yojiro Takita (滝田洋二郎) received the prize in the culture category. The other two winners were Yokohama mayor Fumiko Hayashi (林文子) in the politics category and conductor Tomomi Nishimura (西本智実) in the international category.
