I read this fantasy work series when I was very young and liked it. I think one Japanese writer of juveniles wrote his own style of sequel to this series, whose setting is in Japan, for the borrowers left their home and came to Japan for evacuation from war. I like this work’s concept as well as Ghibli’s works so far, so I’m looking forward to the release of the Ghibli’s new anime based on the idea of this series.
