Nodame Cantabile: Blockbuster success
“Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score – Part I” is doing really well.
“The Final Score” is the continuation of the highly popular Fuji TV drama series in form of 2 movies overall.
One of the biggest new locations in the movie is the “capital of music”, Vienna. It’s the first time ever that a Japanese movie is going to be filmed in the historic “Wiener Musikverein” and its golden hall, the same hall where even famous Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa (小澤征爾) once made an amazing performance.
The first one opened on Dec.19,2009 and made over 3.3 billion Yen ($36,168,000) in box-office takings in less than a month. This translates to over 2,700,000 people who watched this movie already. There even were exceptional fans who already watched it 24 times.
“Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score –Part 2” will open on Apr.17, 2010.
