Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-
Versailles announced that they will launch a world tour this year.
Versailles (known in the US as Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-) is a visual-kei band formed by ex-LAREINE vocalist KAMIJO and by ex-SULFURIC ACID guitarist and solo artist HIZAKI.
The sound of the band concentrates on the concept of youshikibi (様式美/absolute beauty of form) and the extremes of aestheticism. Trademarks are the dueling guitar sound and the heavy but melodic arrangements. KAMIJO’s lyrics are connected to each other to tell a single story, often making use of narrating voices and concept videos.
NEW ALBUM "Jubilee"
The band’s “Method of Inheritance” tour will begin domestically with a series of concerts in Japan, from Feb.28 to Apr.30.
It will then continue as a world tour, taking them to Latin America in June. Five dates were announced, though venue details are yet to come:
6/4 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
6/6 – Santiago, Chile
6/9 – Buenos Aires, Argentina
6/11 – Lima, Peru
6/13 – Mexico City, Mexico
Versailles will then visit Europe from late June to mid-July. Dates and locations are expected to be revealed soon.
