Aya Ueto becomes a detective for new drama “Zettai Reido-Mikaiketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa”
Actress Aya Ueto (上戸彩) is going to star in her first detective role for Fuji TV’s “Zettai Reido: Mikaiketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa” (lit: Absolute Zero).
Similar to the American series “Cold Case”, it will have a team trying to solve or resolve cases that happened a long time ago. Japan actually just created a special department for cold cases in November 2009.
Ueto (born September 14, 1985) is a Japanese actress, singer, idol, and tarento. Born in Nerima, Tokyo, Ueto was discovered when she participated in the 7th All-Japan National Young Beauty Contest, where she won the Judges’ Special Choice Prize. She made her acting debut at the age of thirteen in the film Satsujinsha Killer of Paraiso and in 1999.
In the new drama, her role does have a strong sense of justice and never wants to give up with her investigations. She’s a newbie, lacks skill and experience, but she is able to understand the pain of people like nobody else.
“It’s my first role as a detective and I will try my best to show you a nice side of me!,” Ueto commented.
The drama “Zettai Reido: Mikaiketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa” will start on April 13 and air on Fuji TV every Tuesday at 9pm.
