Masami Nagasawa,Shun Oguri X Movie:Gaku (C)「岳」製作委員会
Manga “Gaku: (岳－ガク－ lit. “Peak)” is going to be turned into a live-action movie. Shun Oguri （小栗旬）and Masami Nagasawa（長澤まさみ） are going to star in this movie, 7 years after their last movie together.
Gaku: Minna no Yama is a mountaineering manga written and illustrated by Shin’ichi Ishizuka （石塚真一）.
It has been serialized by Shogakukan in Big Comic Original since 2003, and collected in ten bound volumes as of October 2009. It depicts the adventures of a volunteer with an alpine search and rescue team in the Japanese Alps. The story is about a mountain rescue team and their intercourses with various other climbers.

They filmed the movie in the snowy mountains of the Japanese Alps, ~3000m above the sea.
Oguri had to overcome his fear of heights for the movie and Nagasawa had to cut more than 30cm of her hair for the role.
Gaku has a budget of over $11.000.000, great settings Happouone,Okuhotakadake, Tateyama mountains and more.
The filming started on Mardh 14 and to release this movie some time in 2011.
