Otakon has announced that hip-hop group HOME MADE Kazoku (HOME MADE 家族) will be attending this year as a guest of honor. They will perform a concert on the afternoon of Sunday, August 1.
Home Made Kazoku (lit. Home Made Family),a Japanese hip hop trio, has become known to anime fans through songs such as “Thank You!!,” used as an ending theme for “Bleach.”
Otakon is a fan convention in the United States focusing on Japanese pop culture (primarily anime, manga, music, and cinema) and its fandom. The name is a portmanteau derived from convention and the Japanese word otaku.
Otakon 2010 is being held in Baltimore on July 30-August 1.
