Mai Oshima (大島麻衣) will make her solo debut on May 5 with a song titled “Mendokusai Aijo” (メンドクサイ愛情/Troublesome Love). The song will also be available as a ring tune for cell phones (Chaku-uta).
Oshima, born September 11, 1987 in Chiba Prefecture, is a singer and a previous member of idol group AKB48.
She passed the first AKB48 audition in Dec.2005 along with 23 other girls, and took part in NHK’s “Kohaku Uta Gassen” (Red and White Song Contest) on New Year’s Eve in 2007.
On Apr.26, 2009 she graduated from AKB48 with the last performance in the NHK hall.
Her CD is being produced and distributed by Avex, which also handles Oshima’s idol Kumi Koda(倖田來未).

I really like Maimai(Mai Oshima) and read her blog almost everyday. As you know, I often write about AKB48 on my pages as I am a huge fan of AKB48 as well. I am so happy for her solo debut !
