“Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score – Part2” opens in theaters
“Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score – Part 2” opened and the cast participated in a total of 18 stage greetings throughout the day.
The cast including Juri Ueno (上野樹里) and Hiroshi Tamaki (玉木宏) as well as the director visited 7 theaters in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Osaka for the stage greetings. In the end a record of over 12,000 people had the chance to see all or some of the cast and staff prior to the screening of the movie.
Nodame Cantabile is a story about the unconventional relationship between two very opposite musical figures. Girl is Noda Megumi (Juri Ueno), or Nodame, who’s exceptionally skilled with the piano but fails to look at music from a serious viewpoint. Boy is Chiaki Shinichi (Hiroshi Tamaki)– cold, genius and established pianist whose not-so-secret desire of becoming a conductor is probably half of what the drama is all about.
Ueno said about the movie: “It became a movie worthy for a finale.” Tamaki too: “You definitely have to see it on the big screen with your own eyes!”
