My husband and my elder son took a one day trip to the Railway Museum in Saitama, while I took care of my younger son, who got sick.

That trip made my son’s dreams come true!!

(1)   The bullet train “MAX YAMABIKO” and “Tsubasa”

My elder son strongly requested as follows; to get on the second floor of “MAX YAMABIKO” on the way to Omiya station, and “Tsubasa” on the way back to Utsunomiya station.  In order to make this dream come true, my husband had to run to the station and reserved seats a few days before.

My elder son was so happy to check out the coupling part of YAMABIKO & TSUBASA. The bullet train took them to Omiya in 25 minutes.

(2)   The Railway Museum full of trains, motors, mechanics…

the museumI could tell this museum fully satisfied my husband as well as my son.  Both love whatever things that have engines, motors, and that kind of things.  If I had been with them, I would have enjoyed eating “ekiben” (a box lunch sold at a railroad station) in an old styled train!
