Tochimaru-kun

This is Tochimaru-kun.
SPOREC, Sports&Recreation Festival, is taken place in Japan every year. The purpose of this festival is to promote life long sport all over the country. It will be Tochigi’s turn to hold this event in November, 2011.
An Official mascot of SPOREC 2011 is Tochimaru-kun, which represents a fairly of TOCHINOKI (marronnier, horse chestnut), a symbolic tree of Tochigi pref. Tochimaru-kun’s head is just like a Tochinoki nut with some leaves on it.

Tochimaru-kun's working on PR activities.
Tochimaru-kun has a busy life these days to promote this festival though he still has one year to go. He visits various elementary schools and kindergartens and do “Tochimaru-kun Taiso(exercise)” with kids. My elder son really enjoys Tochimaru-kun Taiso. This Taiso was included in the program of the field day last month.
