Morning Musume adds four members
Hello! Project has unveiled the newest members of idol group Morning Musume. The 9th generation audition is now over, and three of the finalists have passed: Erina Ikuta (13), Riho Sayashi (12), and Kanon Suzuki (12). In addition, Hello! Pro Egg member Mizuki Fukumura (14) has also joined the group.
Hello! Project is the umbrella name for all female idol Japanese pop recording artists collective that are under contract with the Up-Front Group. The “mothership” group of Hello! Project is the super-group Morning Musume. The main producer and songwriter is Tsunku, the lead singer of Sharam Q.
Morning Musume is known for ever fluctuating line-up, with “graduations” and auditions held nearly every year. Members Eri Kamei, Junjun, and Linlin graduated from Morning Musume on December 15, reducing the group to only five members. With the new recruits, Morning Musume will now have a total of nine members.
