Tennis star Kei Nishikori x Uniqlo
Kei Nishikori (錦織圭), 21, shakes hands with Fast Retailing President Tadashi Yanai (柳井正)at an event announcing a five-year sponsorship agreement between the tennis player and the Uniqlo brand.He just returned from the Australian Open, and is the highest profile athlete to be endorsed by Uniqlo.
Nishikori is a Japanese tennis player. He began playing tennis at the age of five and on 17 July 2007 he qualified for his first ATP main draw event at the Countrywide Classic in Los Angeles, California at the age of 17.
He said: “I want to become the No. 1 tennis player in the world, just as Uniqlo is the No. 1 brand in the world.”
Nishikori currently uses the Wilson BLX Tour racket and wears the Uniqlo clothing and the adidas Barricade 6.0 shoes. He is also sponsored by Sony and Nissan.
