A solitary Japanese onsen inn was built in Showa 40 (1965), one year after its discovery. An ex-head office of athletes’ dormitories for Tokyo Olympic Games was removed from Tokyo and reconstructed here and reused as the inn, but it was already renovated to new building. The Japanese inn is prosperous with many visitors for the onsen facility for day trippers named ‘Carna-no-yakata’ which was built in 2003.
‘Kintaro Onsen’ renewed its 4th floor of ‘Koyokaku’ on April 28, 2010. The remodeled floor was renamed as the luxurious-floor ‘Mine-no-kai’. A number of guest rooms were reduced from 14 to 13 for creating new suite room. Traditional Japanese-style rooms were furnished in Modern Japanese-style design with a bedroom. A new dinning room is built specifically for guests in the ‘Mine-no-kai’, and its access from the floor to the lobby and the grand bath ‘Hekiga Daiyokuden’ is also totally renewed.
Japanese Dinning ‘Kumoi’
Although, the hotel usually serves dinner in room or banquet hall and breakfast in buffet-style, a new Japanese dinning room with 50 seats is additionally built just for the guests in ‘Mine-no-kai’. Both, dinner and breakfast, is served here to give additional service value to that specified floor.
