She has joined ”Hope Project” organized by the handbag and accessories maker Samantha Thavasa Japan Ltd. and the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo to allow 150 people between 15 and 30 years of age to take part in a short-term academic program in Canada. Revenue from selling the bag will go to the project.

Lavigne said that getting involved in the project and serving as a bridge between Canada and Japan brings her great happiness.
