Machi-Asobi vol. 7 – Big anime festival under way in Tokushima

A major anime festival is currently running through Oct. 10 in Tokushima on Shikoku Island, western Japan.
More than 20 animated movies including new releases are being screened at indoor and outdoor venues in and around the city of Tokushima during the “Machi-Asobi vol. 7 (マチ★アソビvol. 7）” festival that began Sep. 30.
At Tokushima airport, numerous banners and posters for the event have been placed to catch the eyes of visitors.
The city has been making efforts to revive the local economy using anime and had hosted six major anime events since two years ago. Each event drew some 20,000 people.
