‘Cool Japan’ debuts in Singapore
Cool Japan aims to help the Japanese economy recover after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami and also to boost the popularity of Japanese pop culture among Youth.
The Japanese government kicked off the first round of public-private joint projects to promote “Cool Japan” culture in Singapore with Japanese fashion brand outlets in a local department store Tangs.
Products from 15 Japanese fashion brands including Beauty & Youth Uited Arrows, Coen, Ciaopanic, Mystic, Osewaya, Urban Research, KBF, Dammy, Rosebullet, Dip Drops, CrystalBall, Ray Beams, Beams, Ray Cassin and Wego will be sold at the stores collectively called Harajuku Street Style for three months from October.
Fans of Japanese fashion, in particular, the Harajuku street style, were further in for a treat with Harajuku street style showcase.

This unique one-stop shopping opportunity attracted fashion bloggers and fans of Japanese fashion alike, many of whom were decked out in their best Japanese-inspired outfits.
Similar projects will take place in India, China, France, Italy, the United States, Brazil and South Korea.
