“Ultraman Art! Times and creation — Ultraman & Ultraseven” under way at Ibaraki art museum

Figures and other items related to the popular Japanese TV hero series Ultraman and Ultraseven are on display at a modern art museum in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture.
The Nov. 3-Jan. 15 exhibition entitled “Ultraman Art! Times and creation — Ultraman & Ultraseven,” at the Museum of Modern Art, Ibaraki(茨城県近代美術館), features clothes, full-body suits and miniature models of architectural structures used in shooting the TV series that began airing in the 1960s.
Other exhibits include photographs showing the process of making the programs as well as sketches and figures of the characters.
Visitors are able to take their pictures with replicas of Ultraman and his space monster enemy.
