G-Shock x Madoka Magica Kyubey watch to be sold
Kyubey (キュゥべえ) is a mysterious character from the popular fantasy “magical girl” anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ).
Kyubey (キュゥべえ) Due to the show’s popularity in Japan and Kyubey’s characterization as a deceptive, evil creature with an angel-like appearance, it quickly grew into a target of obsession for the Japanese anime fans and illustrators. Kyubey is well known by its ASCII form. The electronics manufacturer Casio will offer a watch under its G-Shock brand that features Kyubey. Pre-orders for the G-Shock DW-5600 Kyubey watch will be available from April 28 to May 31, and the watch will ship in December. Kyubey’s face will appear on the back and face of the white watch with silver buttons and a pink G-Shock logo. The watch face will measure 48.9 millimeters high (about 1.93 inches) by 42.8 millimeters wide (1.69 inches) by 13.4 millimeters deep (0.53 inches), and the band will be adjustable from 145 to 205 millimeters (5.71 to 8.07 inches). The watch will have standard G-Shock functions and features such as a timer, alarm, backlight, and water resistance. The Kyubey watch will debut at the Nico Nico Choukaigi (ニコニコ超会議)event, which will be held at Chiba’s Makuhari Messe(幕張メッセ) center on April 28-29. |
