Japan’s National Foundation day falls on Feb,11th. This year a lot of related events were held.    lectures about the Japanese mythology were held at some shrines or academic facilities, and supecial commemorative parades were conducted in the Meiji Shrine, Harajuku,Aoyama, Omotesando area where a lot of people including foreign tourists visit even on ordinary occasions. Still the shrine where the Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken are enshrined may have special meanings of  love of  the country. (http://kenkoku.web.fc2.com/parade.htm)
