Yahoo! Japan is currently holding an auction for someone to have his or her image projected from the cockpit section of the rebuilt life-size Gundam.

A museum that regularly exhibit sand sculptures opened in the city of Tottori.
The opening exhibition at the Sand Museum features sand sculptures on British themes created by 15 sand sculptors from 10 countries, in commemoration of the upcoming London Olympics.
The works made from sand from the Tottori Sand Dunes nearby, including a statue of Queen Elizabeth I, will be on display until Jan. 6 next year. Read the rest of this entry »

The ceremony began at Tokyo’s Odaiba with Tohru Furuya (古谷徹）, the voice actor of the first Gundam anime’s lead Amuro Ray, showcasing the life-size statue of the original RX-78-2 Gundam.
He noted the 18-meter-tall (about 59-feet-tall) Gundam was customized for Amuro with his personal insignia and magnetic coating on the joints.

Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu opened April 13th near the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line Kisarazu-Kaneda Interchange in Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture.
