Hello Kitty to appear on Lingerie~♪

The undergarment brand Hanky Panky announced that it will release two kinds of Hello Kitty lingerie in June. The licensed lingerie will feature Sanrio’s Hello Kitty character in black or white lace designs.  Individual pieces will cost between US$27 and US$98, according to the fashion blog Racked. The Hello Kitty line’s promotional images feature Hello Kitty bows, which are now available for US$30 (pink) or US$32 (red) from the accessory brand Chubby Bunny. Explanations of Gothic&Lolita part1 “Lolita style”

Explanations of Gothic&Lolita(quoted from “GOTHIC&LOLITA@wiki http://www15.atwiki.jp/hisuzusia/” 2012,3,17)
I’m going to translate sentences (all sentences are reported in GOTHIC&LOLITA@wiki) into English a few at a time.
These explanations are not a definition of Japanese Gothic&Lolita culture but a common opinion.

 

“Lolita” comes from Lolita(Nabokov,1955), and means girlishness.
Even if people who love Lolita style of fashion admit it themselves that their fashion is overly girlish taste and innocence.

Features of Lolita style are a flared skirt,headdress, bonnet, and a lot of frills or lace.
Many people tend to dress in white or pink.Others like to dress in red, light blue, and black.
Main patterns are strawberry, cherry, heart mark, ribbon, and animals(for example a poodle ,a rabbit, and a fawn).
After WWⅡ, girl’s magazine(Soleil,) made patterns of strawberry and a poodle popular.

 

-more close classification of Lolita style-
“Amaloli”
It means sweet Lolita style.This style is originated from sweets and sewn lace on dresses.

“Claloli”
This style is  medieval design.

“Kurololi”
It means black Lolita.The combination of black-white or black-black in the dress is called “kurololi”.

“Shirololi”
It means that people dress in white.(“Akaloli” means that people dress in red)

“Himeloli”
The stlye is more princessly than girlish.

“Goth-loli”
This is known as “Gothic and Lolita”.It’s construct is not only Lolita but Gothic.

These classification of Lolita style is not popular.
But it helps you to know “Lolita” deeply.

Daily “Gothic&Lolita” clothes

We must pay attention when we wear almost Gothic&Lolita clothes.
For example, a spread skirt tends to touch near things.
So I wear casual “Gothic” clothes except Gothic&Lolita&Punk no kai’s activities.

 

My daily style in fashion is a jacket, shorts, and bulb toe.
(I wear not only a jucket but princess sleeve blouse.)
It is just for me to go far away.

We can make Gothic&Lolitaclothes to wear everyday too!

Our biggest tea party took place!!

We,Gothic&Lolita&Punk no kai(website: http://homepage3.nifty.com/glp/ twitter:@GLPnoKai)hosted a tea party.More than 20 members gathered,occuping one-third of the cafe!!This time,we fixed a dress code which is “anything related to the story or characters of Alice in Wonderland”.Every member was dressed in their favorite clothes to meet the condition.

“Hello Kitty”‘s special shop & “Miffiy”‘s special shop at Tokyo Station

“Hello Kitty Tokyo Station shop” and “miffy style Tokyo Station shop” are going to open, at the same time, on coming March 16th along Tokyo Character Street on First Avenue Tokyo Station in Tokyo Station. http://www.tokyoeki-1bangai.co.jp/en/

 

This Hello Kitty’s newest store(the second one in Japan after Kichijoji shop) is planned to sell about 1200 kinds of Kitty’s popular items, while miffy’s shop(the third one in Japan) is going to sell about 400 sorts of miffy’s items. The two stores are both to be run by Sanrio and the latter is to be managed jointly by Sanrio(http://www.sanrio.co.jp/english/index.html) and Dick Bruna Japan (http://www.dickbruna.jp/).

 

Hello Kitty(http://www.sanrio.co.jp/characters/hellokitty/english/index.html) and  miffy(http://www.miffy.com/) are quite popular animal characters worldwide, so,  Tokyo Station  which is the central station of  both Tokyo and Japan known as one of the most popular tourists’ destinations as well, is expected to be visited by a lot of  tourists and passengers. I hope those new stores will be  popular sites to draw people to contribute to enhancement of tourism in Japan  a lot.

Our new year`s tea party took place!!

 

We enjoyed delicious cakes ,tarts and tea while chatting.This time,16members gathered,occuping almost a quarter of the floor!!Also,4 new members joined us.

I can`t wait for our next activity!!

Talk show&Fashion show featuring Harajuku Fashion will take place on March 4th!!

The group”Everyday tea party”(offical blog http://ameblo.jp/starcrownmake/) holding  tea parties for girls who love lolita fashion will have a talk show and fashion show!!In the fashion show,the members from Gothic&Lolita&Punk no kai and Harajuku Fashion Walk will appear!!

The world’s first Hello Kitty’s dental clinic open

“Hearts Dental Clinic”(http://www.hearts-dental.jp/), which is featured with Hello Kitty, a worldwide super popular kitty character of Sanrio(http://www.sanrio.co.jp/english/index.html) was open on Jan.10th in Koto ward Tokyo.

The clinic is fully supporetd by Sanrio, and Hello Kitty is adopted as its official mascot. The clinic’s building is coverned with a lot of  Hello Kitty’s pictures and its other designs.   The clinic has a basic policy of “full of smiles with bright and pleasant atomosphere”, wiping away a generally negative image of scary and bad dental clinics, and had drastically remodelled since last November.

This is the very first clinic with Hello Kitty as its mascot in the world, and plans to host introductory tours on this Jan. 13,14,and 15th.

 

The 2nd “MOE GUEEN” Grand Prix

The 2nd “Moe Queen” contest final was held in Akihabara, the mecca of “Moe”(sprouting passion or stimulus attractiveness of a character) culture on this Jan. 7th.  Among the 13 finalists who performed singing, dancing, or other kinds of performances, the Grand Prix was given to “Chiu”, a popular “maid” of  Furatto Maid, a Akihabara guide shop. http://f-maid.com/

The primary of the contest whose purpose is to choose “Moe-type cute or beauiful girls” started on Sep.1st 2011 and Chiu says, she is so happy to have achieved such a glorious goal because she had started making intensive efforts for the contest for about two years since the last contest, having been supported by a lot of her fans. Chiu says, “Though I look innocent but actually I like Japanese sake and have tastes of those of middle-age men”.

Chiu was awarded sub-prize money of 100,000 yen and  a right to debut as a singer to produce CDs.  Takuro Morinaga, a currently famous and popular TV commentator who is known as a enthusiastic figures collector as well, made a remark about her, saying, she is overwhelmingly Akiba-like, and so, she  has successfully caught the heart of  Akiba-type geeks”.
